Some day I’ll buy a car that isn’t at the opposite end of the country.

Kinja'd!!!

Today was not that day.

First impressions: the facelift shell is a fair bit stiffer with almost no scuttle shake, there’s various small cosmetic scuffs and dints to sort, the six speed box is a lot slicker than the five speed and makes it a much better motorway cruiser. It feels more willing, but needs the suspension swapping over from the old one to shine .

It’s lived in the south east all it’s life, which has helped keep the rust at bay.

The interior needs the seats, carpets and audio swapping as well as some sound deadening. The roof is in good condition, but does seem a bit noisy.

Oil burning? Ask in a month...

You think these are noisy? Drive a Miata.

At least your country isn’t that big...

Looks like a nice ride though!

Lol my thoughts exactly. “ Other side of the country” across the pond is like driving from 1 state to the next over here.

I drove about 4 hours each way to pick up my LS parts car, and that was just a skip on the map (Chicago, Il to Michigan)

That’s nice I really love the facelift ZZW30. Mainly for the small detail of the white circles on the tailights idk why but I think they look much better.

Man, between you and Zoidberg it’s like Oppo conspiring to make me miss mine terribly, today.

It’s not so much the actual distance as the time it takes to cover it. The traffic density can make it miserable. Not such a problem now.

No, the old one isn’t worth saving. I’ll strip it of all the parts I need and those which are worth something to sell on then  scrap the leftovers.
